BEIJING, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares ended higher in the morning session Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.35 percent to end at 3,403.46 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.2 percent to close at 11,365.27 points.
Share price of liquor maker Kweichow Moutai hit a new high during the morning session and closed 2.05 percent higher at 753.5 yuan (116.2 U.S. dollars) per share, bringing the company's market capitalization to 946.5 billion yuan.
